MLF WEEK 8: CAN BLOODS TAME TIGERS?
The Lakeland Tigers will be looking to avenge an April 28 loss when they visit the Swans Saturday in a matinee double-header at Crescent Lake Common in St. Petersburg.
Ball up is 11 AM.
In the first meeting – which also marked the Tigers’ season debut – the Bloods held on to turn away Pat Bilder and his charges in a hard fought 22.214.171.124 – 2.6.63 contest. Two late super goals pushed St. Petersburg across the finish.
The Swans (3-1) can pull away from the ladder by sweeping tomorrow’s play, while a split would serve to put some distance between the Bloods and a chasing Miami Saints side.
St. Petersburg will travel to South Florida June 23 to take on the Saints in Ft. Lauderdale.
Tomorrow’s double-header will begin at 11 AM, following a combined 10 AM training session.
The double-header is a free, ticketed event, and free parking is available in the neighborhoods to the immediate east and west of the Common.
The Common is located on the north (22nd Avenue North) side of Crescent Lake.
