St. Petersburg Swans’ stalwart Jake Keglor – seen here in 2017 USAFL action vs. Ft. Lauderdale – will miss 8-10 weeks

St. Petersburg Swans veteran and 2016 and 2017 high scorer Jake Keglor has been diagnosed with a Grade III LCL sprain. He is expected to miss 8-10 weeks of footy as he recuperates, although surgery is not required.

The injury befell Keglor in last week’s match at Crescent Lake Common.

Keglor’s ability to score from virtually anywhere on the ground – along with his defensive prowess when needed – makes him a key component of Bloods’ success.

With the Swans’ 2018 schedule looming, the loss of Keglor is a significant blow to the Bloods’ line-up, although a June return brings hope for the season’s stretch run.
